  i just buried my beloved poddle, little brother.

  Panhandle girl, so sorry for your loss. It's this very reason why I can't have anymore after this one leaves us. We have no children so he is our big goofball of a kid. It never gets easier. Love them while you have them and remember there are more waiting to go to good homes like yours. We got ours from the humane society and he ended up being the most gentle, loveable, needy sweetheart of a rotti you could ever meet. So glad he came into our lives. People told us to wait a while after we had to put our rotti down but we went out the next day and found this guy. Humane society's need help whether through donations, adoption or fostering. (((hugs)))

  in an earlier thread, i mentioned that i wasn't a particularly doggy person but that my parents got a husky last year that i've come to regard as a kind of brother.. huskies superficially resemble wolves and for me it's been fun to compare and contrast husky and wolf behaviour.

  huskies howl but rarely bark, and seem to have a strong prey drive and a strong pack instinct - a nod to their wild cousins.

  this is why i love huskies, i think.. do you have a favourite dog breed and why?.

  We love our Rotti's. Vanderhoven7, you nailed it with pussycat.LOL The one we have right now is from the humane society. He was ripped to shreds by a pitbull(over fifty stitches). We got him at two and he is now seven. If anyone comes to the shop and leaves their car door open, he will jump into their vehicle and want to go home with them. He's the most loveable pet out of all the rottweilers we have owned. Right now he is on his back getting a belly rub from hubby. We love love love rotti's. He loves playing with the chickens and would never hurt anything. Came across a nest of bunnies and wouldn't harm them. Biggest goofball in the world (hubby also owned a german shorthaired dog back in his hunting days)

  (i never was a jw).. just had a d2d (fs) visit.

  older guy (said he's been in since 1958 and is an elder) with a younger guy (20 or so).

  looking out at the street i obviously drew the short straw because further down the street was a pair of not unattractive younger women jws.

  He lied about calling the police on pedophiles. Our elders told us last summer that they have no say over the matter. That if there were pedophiles in the congregation, all they could do is report it to the headquarters and it would be up to them to do whatever they deem fitting. And whatever the headquarters decide, they would have to go along with it. Liars, liars, liars!!!

  i feel sick.. in one video a little girl dreams about paradise: the blind can see again, the deaf can hear again, and of course, she gets to hug a cute little panda cub.

  not until the end of the video is her wheelchair revealed.

  It is disgusting! We just arrived home from visiting my handicapped sister who is a fulltime resident in a home for the disabled. I noticed there were fifteen watchtowers and a huge silver bible on her shelf. There's a sister who picks her up most Sundays and takes her to the meetings and then brings her straight home afterwards. No time for a little stop along the way to get a coffee to go or anything.

  Her husband is an ms so I figure for sure she's counting all these placements and time. None of us want my sister at the meetings but she will say yes to anything. If it were raining out and you said it was sunny out she would say yep. Her caregivers don't want her going either. I'm her living power of attorney and I don't even have any say.

  However, I did write JWFacts, JWSurvey and JWNet on all the magazines, I was so ticked off. Why? My sister could never read or write. She has cerebral palsy and can comprehend things at the age of a four year old. So why all these study articles as well as a huge bible??? She can't read, period. Her eyes shake nonstop, plus, she has a rare eye disease where she is almost blind. Not even the simplified addition was given to her. It was so stupid, my husband and I just couldn't stop laughing. Next Sunday she is going to raise her hand and give one comment at the watchtower. JWFACTS!!!!!!

  this jc from 1984 features a brother and his wife, who were evidently about to be df'd for apostasy.

  but the brother knew his ttatt well.

  the elders really couldn't muster any half-way convincing arguments to refute the damning facts on 607 and 1914. even 1975 was touched on.

  She didn't get a call in two months to see how they were doing. We didn't get a call or visit for a year. Our lame brain elders tried to say they sent me out an email and later changed it to they sent it out to someone but they weren't sure who. One email in a year!(That's on tape as well) Lurkers if your listening to this, please do your research. And if you want to go to your judicial then make sure you tape it. They will not df you once they know they have been taped.

  I have recently sent out two letters of the society's changes, misquotes ect,,, to my body of elders and all they did was give a special talk and warn people of those who leave the organization because of one little change, not to talk to them. They said that if those who do that can leave that quickly then they weren't deeply spiritually rooted in the truth in the first place. They also got a carbon copy of my manuscript that bethel sent them and still nothing.

  I believe once they know you have recorded them especially if they were dirty as in our case, they do not want it going public. Their behaviour as well as the cult's doctrines would make them look like silly fools that they are.

  looking at all the doctrinal teachings over the last five years, it's almost impossible for any person of conscience who originated such doctrine to do a complete u-turn and change it when the passage of time has proved beyond doubt that doctrine is no longer credible.. i say this with reference to the generation of 1914. they were so sure.

  it was part of the awake!

  masthead for decades that those who saw the events of 1914 would also see the great tribulation.. .

  Like the one elder said at my judicial meeting and I have it on tape: Our magazines are half truths. Then the other elder says: That's right. The watchtower doesn't have all the answers. Unbelievable and shameful! But they were still proud of the organisation they represent. Their words not mine.

  How Do You Answer Someone Who Says JWs Are Not False Prophets?

  Minimus, glad you posted this. I had an elder tell us the watchtower has never ever called themselves or others prophets. Nor will they ever do that. This man is truly a nice man and wouldn't hurt anyone. The elders had put him on us to answer any questions we might have and each time he couldn't answer them but never ratted us out. His assignment was to be in charge of the library at the back(shows you what these idiots thought of him) which was full of outdated publications that went back to the early 1930's. It was fun to watch him work hard yet I wanted to cry at what this wicked org was doing to decent people such as him. He was a very sincere man. Time to give him a visit:)

  I have nothing left in the tank, I need help

  i dont have the willpower to attend meetings anymore.

  i'm literally on the sound system list every week.

  i'm either reading on sunday or tuesday, praying on tuesday nites, adjusting mics, passing mics, or working the sound system, or doing last minute parts for the service meeting.

  Tell them your doing the best you can and if that doesn't work then tell others in your congregation how you love college and how everyone should get an education. They'll have no choice but to take your "priveleges" away from you.

  We had an ms in the hall that was going to college for four years and the cooridinator told him not to make that public or they would have to remove him from being an ms. After he was done school, they made him an elder. Not to mention he had only been reinstated four years after being df'd. If they like you, they really like you but if they don't like you then they will do what ever they want. This guy was made an elder at twenty-four years of age. Really sad. With less priveleges you will have more time for your career.

  Inactive for how long?

  as the title says: how long does it take to be inactive in fs before some elders comes knocking on the door?

  or calling or whatever... any experiences?

  We had not recieved one phone call or visit for well over a year. And even then it was an elder and his wife just passing through and wanting to buy some meat from us. On my judicial hearing tape, he admitted to saying he thought that was a shepherding call that day. He was here for five minutes and not once spoke to me but sent his wife up to the house for a quick little shit chat. When I told him that I didn't even get one phone call said he thought he sent out an email to someone's address. His exact words and they are on tape.

  The only reason they gave us that visit was because they knew we found out about them covering over this one guy in the congregation and the co was coming in a few weeks so they had to make us look like dirt before they looked like dirt first. We hadn't been out in service for almost a year and still no phone call for our time. It all depends on how quiet you stay and don't rock the boat with any of them. Then again, they are all a bunch of dingadongadongadingas. With no educational training but the watchtowers, they certainly can be drama pricks or like Bluesbrothers experience- a no show.
